Mark Micallef selaku Regional VP Asia Pacific & Japan, Cloudera, mengatakan dengan adanya entitas resminya di Indonesia akan mengeratkan kerja sama dalam berbagai bidang seperti telekomunikasi, jasa keuangan, dan sektor pemerintahan.
“Ketika pemeritah dan perusahaan di suatu wilayah bekerja sama, maka usaha untuk mendorong transformasi digital, baik mewujudkan kota pintar atau meningkatkan keterampilan profesional di suatu negara, maka hal ini akan cepat terlaksana,” ujar Micallef.
Menteri Komunikasi dan Informatika Rudiantara yang turut hadir dalam peresmian itu pun berharap, ekspansi Cloudera akan membantu dalam mewujudkan transformasi digital di seluruh Indonesia.
“Pembukaan entitas resmi Cloudera di Indonesia memungkinkan kami untuk membangun kemitraan yang lebih kuat dengan perusahaan tersebut dalam rangka meningkatkan kemampuan dan keahlian sumber daya Indonesia dalam bidang big data. Dengan dibentuknya entitas resmi Cloudera di Indonesia, memungkinkan kami untuk membangun kemitraan yang lebih kuat,” kata Rudiantara.
Sejauh ini beberapa perusahaan yang telah menjadi pengguna solusi Cloudera di Tanah Air, di antaranya Bank Danamon, Bank Mandiri, CBIG Consulting, Data Science Indonesia, Lippo, Microsoft, Paxata, Qlik, Talend, hingga Telkomsel.
Mohammad Guntur, Senior Vice President, Enterprise Data Management Group, Bank Mandiri, mengungkapkan dengan penetrasi pasar dan rekam jejak Cloudera yang luar biasa di wilayah ini, ekspansi mereka ke Indonesia akan semakin mendukung usaha kami dalam mengembangkan kemampuan big data yang kuat dan mempercepat peta jalan bisnis kami dalam inovasi teknologi.
